On the one-link chain necklace, a single platinum or gold link bonds the rose-cut diamonds together, while on the three-link chain necklace, three links separate each diamond, spacing them out a little bit more than on the one-link chain.
An additional pave diamond jump ring can also be added for chain lengths longer than 18 inches for greater versatility in your styling.
